gramophone oddness
has anyone else been able to change the tracks on the gramophone.ive tried but always get the one piece of music.
|
I've got several hunderd working in mine. All I do is put the files into the grammophone directory and away it plays. What sort of encoding are you using?
|
Have you put anything in there? It only comes with one piece of music. There are many downloads, and GWX comes with a bunch, but stock only has one.

If you wanna hear more than one song you gotta put more than one coin in :rotfl:
Sorry....couldn't resist  |
Try playing them with Realplayer.
http://www.real.com/ If they are compatible with it, they are compatible with SH3. Have you named them in their numerical order (i.e.: 001, 002, 003, etc.)? Problems have arisin from that. Finally, you might consider updating SH3 to the 1.4 patch (best one of them all; I use it and I have no gramophone problems, compared to what I once did). |

C:/Program Files/Ubisoft/Silent Hunter III/ Data/ Sound/ Gramophone
place MP3 files inside the Gramophone folder and they will play on the gramophone in the game  |
The most stable format for music files is ogg.vorbis, they can be compressed into smaller size files without any resultant loss in quality.
To convert files, go to: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm don't forget to d/l the codecs from further down the page  |
