An America foreign legion???
I read a couple articles on the issue and i think it makes sense for the US to have an America foreign legion. What do u guys think of this, many of you come from other countries, and i want t o see wat you think of this idea?
Here r some articles about it. http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/09/19/foreign.legion/ http://www.military.com/NewContent/0...oreign,00.html http://www.armedforcesjournal.com/2007/03/2552879 |
Isn't that what Blackwater is?

If think that the US MoD would benefit alot finantially from it, it's much cheaper to run a legion than to hire people from companies like Blackwater.

Seriously, I only see benefits in a legion. Economical benefits, no news about dead American soldiers in the news, etc. |

Colonel Hackworth brought forward that idea 25 years ago. I hate to see these talking heads stealing his ideas.
The Regular Army is never going to go for it because your are playing in their pond their toes. The absolutely last thing they want is another part of the Army. |

I'd be against a foreign legion. Right now our military is made up of our sons and daughters serving their country. I don't want to see our government fielding armies whose only loyalty is to their paymaster.

How about a compromise? Let the 12 million Mexicans (and others), minus children, serve 10 or maybe 15 years in return for a citizenship.
