another silly weird problem
 

So i just activated the TMaru mod and now there is no sound from the game at all. Took off all mods, same effect. Into videos have sound, no output from game.

Any suggestions aside from a reinstall?

No seriously give it a little more time than 20 minutes to get a real response.

I'd expect you've already checked if sound is working in windows itself (i've actually pressed mute on my keyboard more than once and wondered where sound went) plus try restarting your pC.

Otherwise double check your audio settings in options. Maybe something got turned off.

You have patched to 1.3 haven't you?

yup ive been running patch 1.3 up till my last patrol which ended this morning.

I just decided to switch from RFB to this TMaru mod pack, and when I did there was no sound. So i took all the mods off, checked the sound on everything, including itunes. Ran the game, no sound.

Then I minied the game, and looked at the sound system manager and tested sounds for the desktop, which worked, then tested the volume of the output from application SH4, and there was nothing.

Probably a silly question but did you un-install the previous mods first ?

First rule of trouble shooting is to change ONE thing at a time.

i took everything off, then put it all back on

figured it out and its the weirdest thing ever. JGME got backwards on a mod load. When it unloads, it installs the sound mod with no extras....and removes the stock sound folder. When you install it, it reinstalls the stock sounds and takes off the mod.
