1944 and beyond?
 

Its not often I post a new thread so bear with me,its 1st july 1944 and have just left st naz by the skin of my teeth(thank you RAF:nope: )and I'd like to ask a couple of questions No1,when will they tell me my home base has changed? No2,where will that be to?should mention I'm with the 7/13th flott.No3 Do I ever get the XXI and if so what date will that be?thank you in advance for your help and time:up:

The 7th Flotilla was changed from St. Nazaire to Bergen, I believe, in September or October of 1944. So, you should be just about ready to be booted out of France. :p
If the XXI still isn't available to you in St. Nazaire, then it should be available as soon as you get relocated to Bergen.

Provided, of course, that you have the 30,000 renown points to get a Type XXI.

Whatever you do, DO NOT go through the Channel. But I'm sure you know that, otherwise, you wouldn't have lasted this long! :D

You only get the type XXI when you get to bergen. And I believe its 20k renown, but then you've got to pimp it with new gear. I started a new career in
late '44 at bergen with the XXI, awesome submarine. At silent running its uber quiet, and can cope with 280m no problem. Even with damage it was ok. ASDIC is so good at the end of the war though so its incredibly hard to get away.

The problem I have now is that I'm following orders and patrolling my alotted area,which is thankfully between scotland and Iceland gap,handy if I'm told to go to bergen,but its 18th of july now and still no message to change bases.once my ammo's gone I'm a sitting duck so can't wait it out for the message to come,but don't want to troll all the way back to the french coast just to be told to head back to bergen,and the dangerous mileage that will entail,any suggestions:hmm: I haven't a clue what to do:doh:

go to Bergen. sail out from there til the base is changed :up:
