Torpedo Shots!!!
Is there a chart or, degree wheel and/or measuring device that would tell you distance apart from each degree you offset your torp shots?
In the PK, you have Left/Right degree changes to make up the spread of each torpedo sortie. Just curious. Example: if you shoot a spread of 3 torpedos at 2500, each one set 1 degree off, how far is the distance between each torpedo at 2500 (feet or yards?) Thanks, |
Simple math.
A -- offset angle X -- horizontal offset at target Y -- distance to target Tangent A = X / Y Also another simple rule is: "One degree angle is 17.5 yards per 1000 yards range." So a two degree offset at 1000 yards will move the impact point 35 yards. Or a one degree over 1500 yards is 17.5 * 1.5 = 26.3 yards. |
