HELP SHIII patch issues AAAARRRGGGG
 

checked version, country, and made sure i got the patch for the DVD. Still getting "unknown version" error like the patch cant verify the version I installed. (1.0) try ing to goto 1.2 or 1.3 or Neptune willing 1.4

Menu text unknown version error im pretty sure was the error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you have SH3 installed before and this is a reinstall?

Maybe try redownloading the patch?

K, I recommend trying the other continent one, so if you need EMEA try to get US instead. But do NOT try to use download version patch instead of DVD or vice versa.

Did you patch increasingly? 1.0 through 1.4b?

edit... sorry I misread you post. You did do that.

You sure you installed 1.0? If you bought a budget version of the game it might very well be 1.4 out-of-the box. That will give you the same message when trying to patch.

If not try to remove every mention of SHIII on your computer (there is also a SH III folder somewhere in documents and setting if using XP) and make sure that you d/l the right version of the patch, correctly mentioned as US or EMEA. Then try a fresh install and patch it again.
I'm pretty sure Neptune is on your side ;)

After you get used to stock 1.4 be sure to give GWX a try....
