underwater shooting party

Note the depth. Without any prompting, the boat just started to dive in the middle of an air attack while testing my new VII/3 Conning tower |
You sir have located a bug!
|
Odd.
What happened next? |
Definately strange.

This is a common fault I'm afraid.....similarly whilst on the surface and encountering a storm you might see your crew without oilskins on. Change crew (surfaced) or order PD (submerged) and that should do the trick
As for the diving action without giving the appropriate order, are you sure you didn't touch the keyboard by mistake ? :hmm: |
no I'm not sure of that at all. I may well have hit a button accidentally.
Actually it happened again shortly afterwards, but i've never seen it before even once. I recently upgraded to VIIC/3 conning tower and also FuMo30. Apart from that i can't think of any other difference that would have triggered this bug to come to life. |
Isn't there an option where you can choose 1 of 3 actions (Engage, Continue or Dive) and another block were you can check 'Always use this option'?? Just wondering if it was selected to Dive & always use this option..
|
Good point :hmm:
|
If this is really the Matrix, and you see someone streaking across the field during a ballgame, chalk it up to a software bug.
|
its a bit normal if you are in a storm.. i was at flank speed and surfaced in a storm...
result: all watch crew drowned on 25m under the surface :o (normaly they would have been dead.. but they are still in the boat) |
I've managed this:smug:under air attack got the options screen, decided to maintain orders, then saw that it was 3 planes not one so hit P depth, ergo they all went for a bath;)none drowned though,so it worked out in the end:up:
|
it's definitely a bug, and it wasn't the auto-dive action as i'd already long passed that stage and was well into the shooting stage.
Also the point is that the crew should have been inside after the boat submerged, and not remained outside, alive, and at their posts.. |
