[TEC] Incorrect tilt in conning tower
 
Topic pretty much says it all: the conning tower camera tilts the wrong way when diving or surfacing. Any way this can be corrected?

I was just in my S18. Isn't the guy at the helm supposed to face forward? Or is he meant to be at the back. Seems a little mixed up. Playing TM1.3a. Got engine noise coming from what appears to be the front. I had flooded engine compartment so my nose was sticking straight up almost. Engine noise coming from the front and what appears to be the helmsman towards the rear. Wierd. Not sure if this is in vanilla also. Patched to 1.3 incidentally.

Agreed. I was hoping they would fix this when they fixed the interior sounds in 1.3 but no joy.

i noticed from 1.0 the interior is modeled backwards. sounds and mothion are reversed from front to back. although mentioned at launch, it seems to have been lost over time.

I only seem to get tilt in the conning tower not in the control room anyone else noticed this?
Oh and the tilt in the conning tower is the wrong way round :hmm:

In fact wrong interior orientation (turned 180) was listed in 1.2 bugs list on this forum. Not only the interior tilts to the wrong side but also the sounds were coming from opposite direction (i.e. what you think was forward of the control room or conning tower was in fact back, just compare the boats manual (it has pictures stating orientation of things: lookg aft or looking forward) with what you see.
Funny enough what devs did in the patch 1.3 - they turned the sounds but not the interior, so they have

I think, that orientation of interior game space and (for example) boat exterier is conditional, abstract value ...
The wrong tilt of a command room or conning tower is a problem of cameras of these interiors...
Adding: In other words: to turn Conning Tower on 180° it's very simply, but nothing changes it ...

I think you are right Anvart, what sucks is to know something is definitely wrong and correction of it is easy and still to know that nobody form those who can do it will never bother... :damn:
