Emblem on conning tower in Multiplayer
 

Ahoy captains,

I sometimes see players in Multiplayer who have a nice emblem on the conning tower of their U-boot. Does anyone has any idea how to do that?
I know it works in career mode, but unfortunately it does not show up in MP:-? .
It's something I would LOVE to have too:yep: :rock:

One method is to attach your emblem in a career patrol and save the game....DO NOT EXIT SH3 :nope: Now load up a MP mission and select the same boat :up:

There are 2 ways to accomplish this.

First, load a new campaign patrol, choosing the emblem & sub type you want. Then immediately exit to base and go straight into MP, choosing the same sub. You will have the emblem you chose.;)

Second, paint/attach the emblem directly to the U-Boats skin (TGA). Now, if this is done with the textures only then MP won't have a problem with it.

Unfortunatetly, none of your MP friends will see the emblems whichever way you do it. They will only see what they have running on thier system.

So..... if they start up a game in careermode and then switch to MP mode, their emblem should not be visible for me.

Any idea how the other players have done it? I mean the ones who's emblem I actually can see in multiplayer? They have not given me the skins obviously, so they must have done it a different way, because the emblem was there.

One player has also an emblem, but I can only see a gray square. According to him that could have something to do with the used graphicscard, his experience is that some people can see his emblem, and some can not.
I asked him how he managed to get the emblem there in multiplayer, but did not do it himself, so he could not help me:ping:

Would it show if both players had the same emblem files and one of them had it on their boat?

On second thought..... i don't think that wil work, because........ at the start we all have the same emblems. When we buy and install the game we all start with the same emblems I mean.

No success yet.....:-?
Still looking for that possibility to have an emblem that's visible for others.
You should have thought that the developers added it somewhere in patch 1.3 or 1.4 :yep: :arrgh!:
