Problem with ","and "."
I like to go to external view using "," and "." to take screenshots, but sometimes when I click on any of those keys, the view goes far, very far and the cam is completely misaligned, sometimes it's pointing to the sky and others to the sea. The arrow keys also act funny when this happens. :damn:
When this anomaly happens, it's impossible to use , or . and if I want to take a look I hav eto use F12,but it's a PITA trying to focus it on an aircraft for example, because the view is not locked on the object. Any ideas what causes this and how can this bwe fixed? Thank you very much for your help!!! CapZap |
I guess its a land unit
IIRC you are not using GWX The land unit camera " Bounce " was introduced in one of Ubi's patches  GWX has reclassified land units so they dont show on next unit view Of course your crew wont say they see them either so its a trade off Usually a save and reload will put the camera back to the correct positions Until you come across another land unit |
Thanks a lot for your quick reply, BBW... will try that.

Did you find any solution MM, other than the one BBW's? CapZap |
Hmmm if you are far from land then thats a mystery
I doubt its a problem with a ship though tis possible None I can think of would cause the problem Bit of a mystery that one then |
it happens to me to... was stalking and killing a convoy IN MID ATLANTIC! when a few planes (never knew where they came from) attacked me. was a new type for me so i wanted to take a look. then it went boing... boing... boing...:shifty::damn:
eventualy i shot them down and could have a look... |
Hello Fellow Kaleuns:
For the last 3 patrols I have been having this problem that is driving me nuts. I really don't know what is going on, but every time I press the "," and "." keys the external camera goes crazy... it point to the sky, to the sea and is in general waaaay far from my sub. The arrow keys don't function and the view rolls. I sthere anything that can be done to fix this? Please need some help here!!! Just in case, this happens near land, in the middle of the ocean, with ships and airplanes. The only moment it works is when I first press "," to see my own sub, and when I press it agan to go to the next ship or aircraft then it goes nuts. I opened this thread with this issue, but no more answers were given, so I decided to bump it. Sorry for that!! Thanks again for your asistance. CapZap |
there is actualy not much to do about it... :nope:
|
Disable external camera...:D It will also help with immersion in the game...;)
|
I'm not 100% convinced there is a fix :nope:
I experience the same whilst in mid ocean using GWX v1.03 and also with.........;) The only solutin I have found is to save and reload....mind you it happens most often during stormy weather as well as choosing a plane (which probably means it has flown outside of the cameras parameters or the games rendering area) :yep: |
Well having had it regularly recently I hypothesize that the
camera its grabbing is to far away in my case (uber2.4 and onwards have 24km radar) so when the game qualifies the camera as within sensor range the camera is qualified but out of sectors and therefore out of guidance. still just a theory but I will see if closing the convoy to inside 16km first will help alleviate it, this doesnt sound like the same solution for you so I am probably wrong about this one. what I can say is that I am occasinally able to go normally to a few closer ships and then when I , or . past a certain point I get the boing boing effect. thats how I came across the theory. but its still thin. I can however use the subs normal chase cam if I have enough sense to stop there under all conditions. M |
Ok, once again, I thank you all for your answers and maybe somehow it will go away as sudden as it came.
