Mod request: Redmask for attack map

Hello Kaleuns,

We already have redmask for almost everything except for the attack map. Why is that? It's quite brutal when observing a target in pitch dark for minutes and then switching to the attack map to set up torpedo control dials and... OMG my retina is burned out...:dead:

Is there a solution to this issue?

The menu_1024_768.ini file does not have a field for any redmask for this. However, you might be able to cut-and-paste the same fields that the navigation map uses:

[G31 I15]
Name=Night filter
Type=1030;Static bmp
ItemID=0x31000005
ParentID=0x31000000
Pos=0,768,1024,656
Color=0xFFFFFFFF
Materials=1
Display=2;Linear
Mat 0=data/menu/gui/night_filter.tga
MatFlags=0x9
TexFmt=0x9

However, you would need to change the [G31 I15] to [G32...] for the attack map, and I'm not sure if it matters whether you insert this anywhere in the "I section" or make it the last "I" number to work. Hopefully someone more experienced here can jump in...

Yes, I have tried that already. What's more I have also changed the item and parent IDds from 0x31... to 0x32... but it resulted in that the night_filter.tga overlapped the attack map and I couldn't see anything...

Any other ideas? Modding-gurus, please help me! :)
