Stopwatch Not Working In 1.3

Clock works, but I cannot get manual stopwatch to work in patch 1.3.

Anyone else have any problem.

THE TOP BOTTOM OF STOP WATCH DOES NOT WORK & YOU CAN'T MOVE THE CLOCK.

Yeah, this is annoying.

There is a bit of a workaround here ^^, not sure if many folks have seen this, I did not until today.

Isn't this what you want?

No, I know how to use the estimate speed stuff, it's great.

Right now, the watch comes up when TC hits 512, which I NEVER use (X key will wear out soon). (BTW, is there anyone who wouldn't mod out the watch coming up under TC if possible?)

It also comes up with a fish in the water for timed explosion. That's good.

If I want it to function as a STOPWATCH, however, I'm SOL. A stopwatch puts the hands at 12 and counts off from there—the previous watch used to do this. If I start the stopwatch (hitting the button on top) the second hand moves, but the minute hand no longer centers on top, so I have to remember what the time was when I started the watch. It doesn't function as a stopwatch, it's more like watching the hands on a regular clock.

When I have the time for a real set up, I take a bearing and range running the watch, and make another mark in 6 minutes and draw a line to get the true speed (nmx10).

There's a separate, dedicated minute dial for the stopwatch. Its located in the upper part of the watch.

I would

I wouldn't mod it out. I *like* it that the watch pops up on time compression. Maybe not at 512, rather at 1024. But I *definetely* want it to pop up. That way I keep track of time.

It's tiny, and it's frequently covered by the minute and hour hands making it harder to read. I think like most people I ONLY use the watch as a stop watch So I guess I prefered the watch that had a stopwatch as the primary function. Time of day doesn't matter since we have a digital watch lower right (unless it told local time, that would be cool). BTW, in addition to popping up at 512 TC, I also notice the watch DISAPPEARS when used as a stopwatch and you drop from 32 to 16 TC. Wierd.

pepsican, why not read the digital clock that's always on the screen (too bad the DATE isn't there, too)? TC seems choppier with the watch spinning like a propeller, too.

But the date is there.
Hover the mouse over the digital time, and look in the middle bottom of the screen, .......time and date........

Not sure what you mean, "the top bottom of stop watch does not work".

As far as moving it, if you mean re-positioning it on the screen, just point at the edge of the stop watch and click-drag. You can put it anywhere you want.

Gotta admit I don't like the new minute dial, I'd rather be able to click the stem and reset it to 12:00, and just use the minute hand to keep track of elapsed time. That's how a stop watch is supposed to work, right?

Bad as my eyes are, I have a hard time seeing that minute dial accurately ;) But I guess I'll get used to it!

Cool!

BTW, it also put time there, and it say "base time." seems like the lower right clock was supposed to be LOCAL time, otherwise why bother labeling "base" time?

I just checked it and it does NOT work for me. Too bad because it was much more convenient that using your own watch. However, the new ability to get speed from multiple range and bearing observations provides a practical alternative. How come we cant fix something without breaking something else? Joe S
