Frustration Sets In!

:damn:

Here is one for you...

Enjoying my limited vacation, I set down this AM to play a little GWX and kick a little !@#$% with one of MM's uberboats. After finishing 4 patrols and racking up a little under 800k including 3 Revenge class BB''s, I made my way back to Willemhasven [sp]. Unfortunately, this time I got beat up pretty bad and only had about 10% hull left. So, when I eased her into the quay, and brushed up against the side...

WHAM! DEAD!

Oh well, time for a new career...

That reminds me when i had stock awhile back i raided gibraltar and on the way back to la spezia i plotted into the harbour close to the long concrete wall. "i hope i dont hit that". 3 minutes later "sir we are taking damage" Ran to bridge but it was to late. All hands lost

nothing like the time i plotted the kiel canal course out of kiel, went to ahead standard... but i never hit the "return to course" order so that the boat would actually follow the plotted course.

i accellerated time to as fast as i could get it and i met one of those concrete walls - took me a few minutes to figure out what happened... needless to say thats one of those times i DIDNT play "Dead is Dead" simply because it was such a stupid unrealistic error

On the subject of hitting walls. Outside dover I was bumped by another Destroyer. I hadnt a chance in hell really. So I put U-46 at a 45o angle off the longest dock side wall on the Western part and carried on. Destroyer was searching as it went by. So I took off silent running and slammed into ahead flank. The Destroyer, alarmed as hell sped up and dropped charges which were some distance away. It avoided the wall but did a 180 and slammed into it at the other side. Joining its buddy that had done the same thing but from the opp direction about 30mins before. Who I was more then happy to put a torp into as it sat there. (The propellers were going reverse, fwd, reverse, fwd every couple o secs :S )
