Silent Hunter 2 General Help
 

Hey guys, first of all great community you have here.

I dug out Silent Hunter 2 a while back having not really ever played it. Now i have started to really enjoy it but have a few questions. I play all my sims 100% becuase i like to be realistic as possable. Anyway what the best tactics to use to avoid escorts and to attack. Im guessing attacking from sides gives a better chance of a hit but at what range should i be firing torp's? The esorts are a real bummer as they always seem to find me. Should i be running silent or at a greater range? Cheers for the help, any tips or recomendations would be great.

To avoid escorts dive deep and run silent, on the how far to fire torps well 1000 meters or less for best results from 90 deg (side of target).

... or as they make their attack run, punch 'em directly on the snout!! But be ready to fire a second torpedo, and/or crash dive!!!
