One unrealistic wish for GWX 1.04
 

While this would be unrealistic, my one wish for GWX 1.04 would be to carry inter-service rivalry to the extreme and be granted renown for shooting down ANY aircraft, including Luftwaffe, Italian (when axis), etc. On my second Med patrol, I've had two small convoys now where I've sunk the Flower escort in a daring (foolish?) gun duel, leaving the 1 or 2 merchants unprotected. At that moment, either a section of brave Luftwaffe or Italian air force bombers have shown up and sunk my targets. Since renown is granted by the Kriegsmarine (flotilla commander?), wouldn't they take pleasure in me giving Goring a black eye while advancing the reputation of the U-boat force?

OMG and I thought I was crazy... interservice rivalry maybe... but blasting your own side to kingdom come is madness.

I was on a patrol in the Black Sea and three Romanian air craft showed up and sank the escorts. I then leisurely sank several merchants.

You'd be well advised not to man your flack guns as you leave your home port :p

I think I hear shrimps farting.

Now I feel foolish... after two hours of being depth charged by a pair of escorts for sinking a tramp steamer SW of Malta, I find that some Stuka's sank one and distracted the other long enough for me to slink away. Guess there is a use for the Air Force after all...
