Patch 1.3 (leaked) weather

Perhaps it's just been a freak, but I started a career after installing the leaked 1.3 patch and bad weather seems to be a lot worse. I have waves breaking over the fairweather, as they do in SH3.

If it's by design, it's an improvement.

While on patrol near Honshu I just experienced some enormous waves that looked to be 50 to 60 feet high compared to my Gato. I was in TC and my CE was constantly calling out sub depth even though I was surfaced.I went to Ext Camera and moved away from the sub at sea level and could not see it when it entered a trough. I had to dive just to shut my CE up.

I believe it is to be a typhoon like weather system as they did experience these during the war. I experienced these when the game was fresh out of the box. As the patches kept coming I have not experienced any.

I have ran into one storm that sounds similar to that, but maybe not quite as large of waves. It was after the 1.3 patch I believe. You can't see ANYTHING in those storms. It's pathetic if you try to attack another ship (detected via hydrophones), because you have to be within 300 yards or less to even see them.

i found the sh4 storm waves as ridiculous compared with sh3.
perhaps devs screw some thing with the patches ??

is matter of compare the files with the 1.0 or the leaked patch

I waited until the oficial patch was released and i donīt dowloaded the leaked patch :damn: :damn:

leaked patch?

Why are you using the leaked patch? That doesn't make sense as the real patch is now available. It didn't make sense to begin with because the dishonest nature of leaking makes malicious tampering more likely with unpredictable results for your game. One who violates the trust of the developers is just as likely to violate your trust as well. Character counts and the leaker's character was despicable. (last word to be pronounced with a Snagglepus accent)

Hrm :hmm:

Another 'leaked' vs 'offical' thread.... :|\\

leaked vs official

I wouldn't mention it but he did. And in good courts of law that makes the subject fair game. By the way, the leaked patch was different from the real one. See my post at http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...&postcount=232

The same old problem arises when you have too large waves , small craft get damaged and catch on fire . Secondly there is not much perspective when viewing from the bridge and waves look smaller than they are . If you placed something on the sub at the front that you could view to give a perspective of height then waves would look more realistic . Theres an idea for a modder .

Your on the surface, man the deckgun. How long can you hold your breath.:rotfl:That is perspective .

I have only had an s boat up till now . Cannot see the deck gun ;) .
