Antialiasing broken again in 1.3?

Gato-class submarine. The wierd thing is, at the start of a patrol, this problem doesn't exist, then it crops up some time later. I run the game at 16x AA, and this is NOT the result of ALT-TABing:

Hopefully this is one of those beta issue problems that was fixed in the final version of the 1.3 patch.

aa better not be broken in 1.3 as that would be bad

I dont know but I would be checking my settings.

I'm pretty sure we would have heard a lot more about this issue if it was true.

Mine is still working fine.

WernerSobe 07-12-07 09:08 AM

mines working. must be your drivers.

Q3ark 07-12-07 09:18 AM

I am having no problems either. Don't know what could be causing your probs.

terrapin 07-12-07 09:35 AM

no probs here, too

LukeFF 07-12-07 01:42 PM

Hmmph, that's wierd, then. It might be time to try a different driver version.

I always try 4x first to see if AA works well with the game. Only after that is verified do I use higher AA, but I test those as well since some games just don't like them and end up looking worse and going slower than 4x, or an extremely marginal improvement at best.

I think you can get better overall quality by using 4x and cranking the AS to 16x, and using NVTray to crank up the Image Quality settings throughout.

LukeFF, I've got the same problem, been trying to run 16x AA to no avail, 8x doesn't work either, and the same with 4x, I didn't even bother with 2x. I'm running two 8800 GTXs in SLI with nVidia 158.24 32-bit Forceware drivers in Vista 32-bit.

Blah. :shifty:

Sorry for the OT, but Bort, you should be able to render the face of God himself with that setup! :o
