[REL] More or less a hi-res S-class skin

So at last I'm able to release this S-class skin for SHIV. I was kind of hoping that someone better than me would have made hi-res skins for S-class but got tired of waiting and got to work. There are a few glitches here and there. Some are left intentionally, some may have gone unnoticed and some I just couldn't figure out...

Anyways, feedback would be great. Probable gonna release an improved version from this later on. I'm not too happy about those rust textures...

Black skin is on the works and I'm hoping to release that someday. Just hope I got everything right with this. I have a memory of an 80 years old so I might have missed something!

Looks good mate and well done for making the effort. You might want to add the top level folder in your RAR just to make it a little easier to JSGME install.

Nice work Misfit. I drive an S boat and I applaud your effort.
Can you make one that goes faster, and maybe dives a bit deeper ?

I'm a fan of the folks who are generous with their time and talent.

Thanks,
Old Dog

I'm no modder so I guess you have to ask from someone else...Besides, that kind of tweaking should be fairly easy with the SH4 Minitweaker :)

The rust textures look very nice and realistic. You did a nice job on the whole boat of course.

Thanks! :)

Actually the problem to me isn't those textures itself. It's more like how they look too "static" IMO. Aww, I guess it's just the perfectionist in me thinking like that

Anyways, I'm finishing the black skin for the S-class. The release is going to happen sometime during this week. After that I'm probable gonna start skinning the Tambor class. Don't really like too much about the stock black skins

How about moving away from black. :hmm:

Keep at it nice to see new skins. :yep:

Others have already made enought those non-black skins. Besides, I really like the stealthy look of those black subs

This is more or less the schemes used in WWII by the US NAVY.

If one wants to do some skins that look cool and what have you why not:up: . Personally I like to keep it as historically correct as possible, but that's me.

The funny thing is that I used that pic of S-class as a base for this skin...Just my luck. Not only I have pretty bad memory but also seem to be half blind

Anyways, thanks for pointing this out. Been now making new historically correct skin. At least I hope so!
