Hello, again. A music question

Sorry to take your times, but how do I add more music tracks? Specifically wheredo I put them to gain access to more music in game? I tried one `obvious` folder, but it didn`t work. I`m really interested in popping in some of my favourite modern tracks and hearing them play back like on an old vintage record.

Thank you in advance.

May be your problem, I have only ever used the two I mentioned, do you have an audio converter?

Edit: A post regarding a converter:http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...2&postcount=29

No. I`ll check the net for one. Any particular type of converter you think best (and free )?

See above post- link, plus do a thread search: audio converters, you will see some thread regarding music.

I use one that came with my sound card.

Hope this helps :yep:

MediaCoder is one of the best freeware audio batch converters, or, if you want to work track by track try Audacity (again free). Your modern tracks will sound just as they do through your sound card. if you want to give them an "old" sound, you're going to have to add the effects yourself. Again Audacity and its associated plug-in filters wil let you do this, but only on a track-by-track basis. The game takes either .ogg audio files, or mp3s. MediaCoder lets you convert between a large number of audio formats. Audacity can export .wav .ogg or .mps files. Both programs also allow you to set bitrates so that you can keep the file sizes under control.

Well, thanks again, all. I remembered I had an extra program on my CD driver and found a conversion tool on that which did it and now it works. You`re kinda right that it doesn`t sound that much different (it records a little too loudly, I`ll try reducing the recording volume), but it`s quite nice to have your own music onboard while figuring your next strategy.

It`s never hard once you know how!
