Where are....
the snowflakes ?
Reverie |
Up, up in the clouds...
To be serious; Do you mean the lack of snow in SHIII? |
Hmmm...yeah, that is a good point. Sure does rain a lot, but...no snow.
That seems like a pretty obvious thing to mod, though - has it never been done? |
I'd have thought you'd seen so much rain you would be glad there weren't any snow
|
Why would you want snow? Or do you want to throw snowballs at Bernard for being useless!
|
Don't forget kids don't eat yellow snow. ;) :yep: :smug:
|
If I go hunting Murmansk convoys in winter, I want snow :)

Snow is planned for GWX 1.5. Each flake will be modelled as a completely unique entity. (The team is currently trying various workarounds for the limitations of processing power: currently, players whose campaigns have spent a lot of time in northern latitudes will begin to see snowflake patterns repeating by about January 1945. This has been deemed unacceptable in its present state and will not make the 1.4 release.)

I've seen a photo of Kiel harbor in the winter of 1939-1940, and at the time the picture was taken the harbor was iced over! Brutal!:dead:

JULY 1940
German Raiders - Only 11 months before Germany attacked Russia, “Komet” sailed for the Pacific through the North East Passage across the top of Siberia with the aid of Russian icebreakers. She operated in the Pacific and Indian Oceans until returning to Germany in November 1941, the last of the first wave of surface raiders to leave Germany. ... anyone got icebreaker models handy? :arrgh!: |
