[REL] Small Lightning texture mod.

Hi, I didn't like the cramped tops of some of the lightning textures so I thinned them out a little:

This was just for my personel taste but then I thought I may as well release for anyone who wants it::yep:

This is only a small mod and the lightning particels could be tweaked but there are so many variables that I decided not to persue (Lazy)!:-?
Cheers.

Hmm...honestly, I can't note any differences, mate. http://img116.exs.cx/img116/934/z0tdntknw.gifMaybe my screen isn't able to display...?

I think Reece has removed some of the branches near the top of the lightning bolt.

I always thought that they would have benefitted from a blueish tint. As far as I know, lightning is not white.;)

Edit - I know what you mean Reece about 'too many variables', why do you think I gave up on my idea.

@ Danlisa, yeh, it's alright for the guys who created this, but all we could do is trial and error method ... you'd be there for a month!:dead:
I might look at a slight blue tint with a filter but I think the tga file is black & white! What I didn't like was the bulkyness (hard to describe) at the top of the lightning when it flashes, one thing to note Dan is that the brightness & duration of the lightning is in the ... Guess where ... Scene.dat file, gee that's a familiar one! so I guess I could fiddle there a little but I think this area is ok!:yep:

LOL, yep, I knew about the scene.dat. I even managed to get double strikes by playing with the strike time/frequency & particle generator.;) What, I really wanted to do was create a 'flash' of light at the same time as the strike, so that clouds/fog would be illuminated even if you didn't 'see' the lightning bolt. Alas, Anvart gave some suggestions but I did not know enough about it.
