[TEC] Maximum depth for firing torpedos

I am almost done rereading Blair, and I came acorss something interesting. It's November/December 1944, and he talks about the new toys, FM sonar, decoys, and cutie torpedos. In describing a cutie attack, he says the boat went down to 150 feet, the minimum depth considered safe to fire a cutie to avoid it attacking the firing sub by mistake.

Looks like fleet boats could fire at at least 150'. This matches another story in Blair about a torpedo running hot in the tube, and they had to rise to 150ft to try and shoot it out, even though they were being DCed.

Strikes me that the max depth for firing needs to be raised to 150' at the least (perhaps deeper for Balaos and other thick skinned boats).

Very interesting. I will dig more on this, will post my findings.

It's as easy as editing the NSS***.cfg files in data/submarine: TorpLaunchMaxDepth=, with the value being entered in meters.
