Dead Guys On Deck

Remember those first screenies of dead/hurt/exhausted guys in the conning tower? Anyone see this happen in their own boat?

Nope... :shifty:

Used to have this in the beginning. Leaving Battle Stations on during TC will do this:D

The Green Lamp and Battle Stations\Silent Running mod cured this for me.

Yeah I get this a lot - and I rarely go to battle stations!!

You'd figure dead guys wouldnt be able to make it up the ladder, but I commend their dead-ication - geddit :D

The mods I mentioned are helpful to prevent tiring, etc.

No, I'm not talking about the dead guy bug, but the screenies of dead/hurt guys in the control room...or is that the same thing?

Iron Budokan 07-05-07 08:48 PM

So no one has seen this in their conning tower? Then where did those early screenies of the guys laying down come from, and why were they released? Jus' curious... :hmm:

ReallyDedPoet 07-05-07 09:49 PM

Just what I mentioned earlier, looked for some screens here as I have none, have not found anything yet.

btw dead guys. Have you notice the nice animation how all the sea man on deck of the ship are dieng when the ship is geting hit? Fun i never noticed that because im running on 100% and mostly dive away before my torpedoes hit. But lately i had a chance on a single merchant and it was close enough to see that through periscope. Very nice effect.

Not my guys, but I've been close enough to a couple enemy ships and raking them with the 20s or 40s and have seen enemy sailors bite the bullet.

Blew a couple guys off a sampan once! Went off the side of the boat and into the drink.

I wish they'd implement dead sailors floating in the water.

MRV 07-07-07 08:08 AM

Since the last patch I noticed that ships crews are not instantly falling to the ground and die with one hit on the other side of the ship....but only in close vicinity of the impact area. Some of them are not even dying, they just lay on the deck with Hands over their head.

Ever tried to shot a pilot floating in the water after his plane was destroyed?

I know, I'm evil. :arrgh!:

Stealth Hunter 07-07-07 09:02 AM

Many times. I machine gun pilots and sailors that have abandoned their craft. Occasionally, I'll let them live, but only because their pursuit of land in the middle of the sea is hopeless.
