Sex sells - ehem, does it...?

I am not prudish, I am not upset by the criticised scenes, and rate them as almost harmless by contemporary standards. However, if a political organisation like the EU thinks it must improve it's bad public image by packing a really simple-minded word-joke into a small collection of harmless sex-scenes, then this may not be a threat to the youth, nor is it in this form especially hurting to moral standards, but nevertheless it is - how should I put it, it simply is - well, I apologize for using this discriminatory word, but it simply is - silly.

"Keine Macht den Blöden!"

remember, we talk about a political intention when talking about this spot. The relatively harmless (and boring anyway) 90 sec-spot it all is about:

ooops, this should have been a link, I just found out it was locked since this noon. I have seen it today, and really, it was so harmless that I would be more concerned about the regular family TV with it's regular display of naked skin or violence in the crime movie or the daily news, than about this.
If you are a youtube-member, you need to login and then can see it. Search for "Let's come together" (what a clever and most original joke by the EU, isn'T it?). When you read the title, you already have gotten the point, so spare you the time to login and download it.

Boy, Europe is full of geniusses. To imagine that some PR agency probably was payed hundred of thousands of Euros to come up with this outburst of never-seen-before humour...

In German news reports I read about politicians defending this spot as illustrating the huge cultural wealth and diversity of europe's culture(s). If I were an alien visitor landing in a flying saucer - I would turn and head back into my spaceship and fly on to somewhere else immediately. Scans showed that there is no sign of intelligence on this planet.

Did they ran out of steam or something? This is so passé. Back in the 70's: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pornochanchada
