Don't believe I've ever seen one of those before, or I haven't looked hard enough.
Sneaky bugger was probably en route to Sydney ;) |
lalalalalalalalala , i didnt see that spoiler picture !!!!!!
|
I Have this one posted on the screenshots thread, when I first
found it I had thought it might be an easter egg but no. historically its accurate though. several of the chitose types were converted to carry and launch the mini sub. strangely doctrine had it as part of open blue water battles. |
:sunny:woww thats a real topper:yep:
|
First time Ive seen one on a ship :know:
|
It would be cool to have a simulator for that ship. Take off in the plane to check for enemy convoys, spot one, land back at the ship, jump in the sub and go sink em!
|
Good luck landing back on the ship. Not much of a flat deck there. More like land in the water and hope you don't die. Makes things a little more interesting

They were lowered by crane into the water and lifted up the same way. |
That's what the crane on the back of the ship and the pontoons on the bottom of the plane were for.
