Watchman Bug
Is there no fix for the watchman bug yet? Still gotta place him manually by myself after surfacing.
There are tons of patches released and no one fixes this bug. Is there any mod or unofficial fix for this problem? |
As far as I know nobody succeded in fixing that, although many have tried... :damn:
|
Yeah, it's one of the most wanted fixes for me too. Unfortunately, nobody fixed it until now.
|
Good question. That's the first (repetitive) thing I do every time I surface!
|
What exactly do you mean by the 'watchman bug'? :hmm:
|
Well, not a bug "per se" but rather an annoying feature that many people would like changed :|\\
|
I don't know whether it is possible to fix that bug.:hmm:
But if I remember correctly, an officer in the engine room does change his position automatically, e.g., when you submerge he goes from diesel to electric engine room. So, at least it is feasible theoretically. Correct me if I'm wrong. But I don't have the knowledge to fix that bug, sorry.:-? |

Everytime you need to place him manually from the crew management screen. |
The age old reason.
Hardcoded. Not possible to fix without an SDK. So many talented people have looked at solving this problem/issue and the answer has always been the same. |
Give the poor sod a break!!!
The poor watch officer can not be up top 24/7 he's not Superman you know. ;) :p  |

It's an annoying thing, I agree.
But suppose it's intended? Didn't the 1st WO had to report to the captain, before he went up to the bridge? |
