It's been a long hard struggle of survival to get this far from the start of the war. But my crew and I have finally made it. (20km north of Utah landing beach)
This has got to be the main event! So many ships already. Has anybody else managed to get themselves in this position before? (GWX 1.03). Any advice?
Of course I really want to bag that big boat in the last pic. I've never sunk a US BB before.

Am I mad?

Paajtor 06-14-07 05:13 PM

No, you're not.

Congrats, on having made it that far. :know:

But I would handle this the conservative way...war is almost over, and everyone just wants to go home....alive.
So...be carefull!:yep:

Hakahura 06-14-07 05:17 PM

It's a really big and pretty boat though.......................................

Paajtor 06-14-07 05:19 PM

Well, go ahead...give it to them one last time.
5 years of experience, haha! :arrgh!:

Attack the BB, and use the convoy to hide.

Congrats, takes some balls to attack the D Day landing force all by yourself in the middle of the Channel... keep us posted...:D

It is a pretty boat. You should try to sink it :yep:

Can I have your stereo and the other stuff in your locker?

KeptinCranky 06-14-07 06:04 PM

:o whoa!

I haven't seen anyone post on doing this before....

If you do manage to sink that big Battlewagon and manage to get out alive you deserve some sort of special medal and instant retirement to a cushy deskjob somewhere in a bunker in the Bavarian alps where you can rest on your laurels...

Good luck and keep us posted:up:

TarJak 06-14-07 10:20 PM

Been there but didn't sink anything. Got spotted and sunk withing 1 hour of hearing the convoy.

Will try again soon though!

bookworm_020 06-14-07 11:26 PM

Sink the battleship and see if you survive! Congrats on getting in, getting out will be harder!:yep:

GoldenRivet 06-15-07 12:13 AM

fire one shot at anything and the escorts will be on your like white on rice on a paper plate with a glass of milk in a snow storm! tust me :dead:

the water is too shallow but the targets are tempting... but it will be the end of you i promise.... several days voyage to the nearest water deep enough for evasive maneuvers and there are too many escorts.

ReM 06-15-07 01:51 AM

Wow,
very nice indeed....

Congrats on a nice career...

Now you did say your prayers, right?

Kpt. Lehmann 06-15-07 02:21 AM

...Ummm if you are/were playing on higher realism levels in shallow water, I would ask if we needed to send the priest now or later.... However, I can see your Freeeeeeee Cameraaaaaaaaaaa, LOL.:arrgh!:

Canovaro 06-15-07 02:25 AM

Hakahura, don't do it man :)
Stay away, you are going to get yourself killed :yep:

Kpt. Lehmann 06-15-07 02:34 AM

It won't be long before der Onkel will be on the horn ordering all U-boats to throw caution to the wind.

The pressure is on!:ping:

Hmmm, hedge-hogs, advanced sonar, aircraft everywhere, shallow water....

Things are getting tense in here!

DrMilton 06-15-07 02:50 AM

Hakahura, dont listen to them man... go for it! :arrgh!::arrgh!::arrgh!:

Imagine their envy when you'll be the one that foiled the normandy invasion by himself (of course historians and veterans might not like that...) :D
