[REL] Colored Torpedoes - rings only

Colored Torpedo Rings:
**********************

Silent Hunter 4 v1.2 compatible

I thought Redwine's color mod added just too much color - so I colored only the white rings that the stock torpedoes have on their bodies, to preserve the sober, military look, and also to help keep the real modders focused on the more serious mods.

Credits:
********
Redwine, for the idea of adding some color to the stock torps.
Vindex, for suggesting to color only the rings on the torpedo bodies.
nvDrifter, for the DDS Converter Utility.
Subsim Silent Hunter 4 community - learned a lot just by reading the posts.

The color code is Redwine's, I had no better ideas.

Color code (noses -> fore rings, bodies -> aft rings):
************************************************** ****************
Fore rings (explosive charge):
green: newtech, low explosive 261Kg (MK 18)
yellow: oldtech, high explosive 292Kg (MK 14)
orange: newtech, high explosive 292Kg (MK 23)
red: newtech, Very High explosive 428Kg (MK 16)

Aft Rings (propulsion):
light blue: wet heater
blue: hydrogen peroxide
light green: battery powered

The Mark 10 and Mark 27 (Cutie) were left stock, as they can be identified by size.

Not a great mod, I know. I used only the DDS Converter tool and Windows Paint, so don't be surprised if under closer scrutiny it's far from perfect or it even looks like crap: it's my first crack at a graphic mod, don't even have the proper tools, so bear with me. It's the idea that counts...
Feel free to improve/redistribute/use as-is/throw out the window.

Installation :
**************
1) As always, backup your original file at first.
2) Copy and paste the "US_torpedoes512.dds" file into your "...\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 4 Wolves of the Pacific\Data\Menu\Gui\Layout" folder.
3) Enjoy!

At work now, forgot to include a screen  But here's how the dds file looks. The colors wash away some once in game:

Nice:up:, should get one of the Moderators to add (Rel) to the thread title.

Thanks, RDP.

Do I have to do anything in particular or will the [REL] be added by default (after a mod review)?

Either they will see it, or you can send one of them a PM asking them to do this. It will attract a few others to the thread as well.

Again good work:up:
