Friendly AA. help?
 

If you expect friendly ships to help you with AA fire don't count on it! Unlike SH III, IV 's friendly ships do not use their AA against enemy planes. On my last patrol, I moved in with a US task force for help with their guns against enemy aircraft. I was with 3 BB's, several curisers...light and heavy and quite a few destroyers. None of these friendly ships helped me when I was attacked in the middle of this group by 3 enemy zeros and was sunk by them! What gives with this? SH III's friendly ships helped all the time vs enemy aircraft. These ships just kept going like the enemy planes were not there. NOT GOOD! NOT GOOD AT ALL! :nope: :down:

Anyhow Ive only "traveled" with a Friendly Task force once. In fact it was the first time Ive seen a friendly task force.

I was kind of concearned that they were going to shoot at me.

But we never encountered any aircraft and at the speed we were traveling at I was burning fuel at a ridiculous rate so we backed off and let them go.

I dont think Ive seen ANY interaction betweenan of the Axis and Allied forces AI.
