OMG the NYGM mod is hard!!
I was playing GW and wanted to try this one but its really hard. You can't get near any convoys in 1940 You can't see them and cant get near them without being seen and the destroyers are hard to get away from I feel like i am playing in 1944 in 1940. I cant plot a course as i have no way of knowing there distance or direction. why don't my sonar work?
|
Also I seam to get stuck where i can only use speed 1 which is way to slow. how do i fix that?
|
ok the mod is seriously bugged how do i stop flooding? and why are ther so few guys for repairs?
|
Whoa slow down a second.
Yes the mod adds difficulty as for the other questions look through the NYGM sticky here: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=97459 Perhaps you can find sreach or ask there. |
Or read the reame carefully! Yes it is a long read, but you will see there the answers to everything you are asking...the mod is hard, but far from impossible:yep:
|
Having played both NYGM and GWX (back to the first one at the moment) I don't find one overall more difficult than the other once you understand how they work (worth reading the doc in both cases) And it is not bugged...:D

I Read the read me and now I understand what is happening. I am giving it another go.
I am playing on 80% I seam to have trouble with manual target and identification. I was playing on64% so its much harder now getting into positon. It would be really hard if i could not get ranges at long distances. Also is there any benifit to doing the patrol missions? Since there is no renown issued for it. Or does this mod spawn ships there? GWX doesn't seam to. |
No real benefit for grid patrol, this is why I usually play alternate missions generated with SH3 Gen or free hunt...

Your grids are based on historical patrol areas Normally some shipping will route through or very close to that area As posted above If you are using NYGM you dont need to go to it anyway Free hunt as Corsair said  |
