zoom for external camera
Could someone make a mod(it's probbaly only changing some digits in a file)so the external camera "next/previous ship"(i believe...)gets the same zoomrange as the external camera.
It's just beacourse i like to sit back(sometimes even fall asleep:oops:,looking at my sub moving over the waves.Only i would close in like in SH3 to get a full-screen look all the time without having to touch the arrows and/or mouse constantly. The max.distance is OK but the minimal should be like the minimal distance in the free camera.............Please;) |
Berry, in his RFB mod pack, has a fix you may be interested in....
Here is the portion from the readme file that talks about it... "Increased free camera maximum height to 2000m and the distance from objects was reduced to 1.8m. Reduced the distance of the object view camera to enable close viewing. Also increased the viewing angles in the career room. Mod by Beery (Data\\Library\\Cameras.dat)" And here is how to make it work using the Cameras_dat file and MiniTweeker... Look for these listings and make the changes specified.... Dummy_Cam_FreeCamera TerrainCollider.....Radius = 3333b33f (1.4)... change to ec51383e (0.18) MaxHeight = 00008c42 (70)... change to 0000fa44 (2000) Dummy_Cam_ObjectView AngularAngle = 00009642 (75)... change to 0000c841 (30) I think this will get you the view you wanted. |
Looks simple but i'm even more simple as it comes to DATfiles and such.:damn:
So could one,who can, change that file and zip/rar it and send a link to me(here or pm). many thanks in advance... |
All's you need to do is download the RFB mod.
See this link... http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=111770 Remove the Cameras_dat file from the mod. Replace the stock file, with it. Thats all. :yep: |

Is there a method to increase the speed that the external camera moves at? I found it to be far too slow when you're going from your sub to a target a couple of thousand yards away to watch a torpedo impact.
|
Did you try with holding down the "shift button" while doing it? Speeds things up...not sure if its enough for you but.
|
I didn't even know about that. Thanks for the tip.

Be careful though. At times you may run into a problem that was in SH3 also. If you use the shift + arrow keys it can get "stuck". Sometimes your camera will keep moving forward even if you take your fingers off the keys. To stop this I press the shift key and give a quick tap on the forward arrow key. That usually stops the runaway camera.
