Can i convert Subs into dd or bb's or cv'S? in SH4
 

:roll: :roll: Ive Been wanting to ask this for a long time even is SH3 i was wondering can i convert subs in ships?
like iowa or even yamato? thx if u can help.

I seem to remember a mod in SH3 which attempted to do this so it might be possible.

I'm curious. Why ?

Wouldent you basically end up with a DD with one deck gun and torpedoes ?

It's a sub sim, not a surface ship sim.

cuz i want to experience the real fight i really subs too cool stealth but i want to use bb's cuz i didn't have the destroyer command and enigma balh blah rise cuz i dont have any money :p :rock: :rock: :rock:

Its possible by modding to give yourself the strength, speed, armor and gun power of any vessel in the game. Plus - you would still be able to dive. However you would be limited in the number of guns, and someone would have to reskin the boat or else you would still LOOK like a sub.

I suggest you look at the mod forums for how-to's. I have a BB mod on the backburner - but its not gonna get any attention for a good while. You could learn to make your own though.

Alpha, have a search through the SH3 moding forums and you should find it.

So you want a submersible Yamato? Hmm....I guess some people will then change their opinion on the use of the deck gun :lol:

I got a seperate intall of Silent hunter 3 where the games modded to let me play as the Bizmark and lets me submerge and fire torpedoes from 10 tubes and 50 deck guns etc.

Retarded the game crashes alot though but fun as heck.
