Anyone do this - turn careers into custom practice missions?
 

I have found this is the best way to fast track myself up to speed in SH3/GWX:

Copy an entire career. Delete all saves before and after the point of interest. Then, replay the one particular career save multiple times experimenting with different approaches until I have found something effective.

Is anyone else turning their career files into custom missions? Are there any tricks to this that I don't know about?

Of particular interest, I would love to know if there is a way to change realism options for a save game? This might permit be have a better idea of enemy technique and tactics to which I am often not privy.
