The Future of LWAMI
Short announcement on what's going on with LWAMI.
I have sent the entirety of the materials I have to a SubSim member of good standing who is going to import all the SCXIIc platforms, weapons, and sensors into the LWAMI database, as well as all the SCXIIc models we have permission to use (over 100+) and some new models as well. This will effectively create a new mod. So as to not put any extra pressure on this person, I'm not going to name him... although he can feel free to step forward and identify himself if he so desires. :) All of us, myself in particular, owe this person a big thanks for taking this project on, a project almost as large as the entire LWAMI project has been up to this point, although fortunately, we know from the beginning exactly where we are going and what is possible this time around. Following completion of this work (timeframe is open at this point), the new mod will be released and I will begin work on a way of integrating the Advance Weapon Control Mod, perhaps in such a way that it will be optional for those who don't want such a level of complexity, although there are no promises on that at this point! ;) Cheers, David |
Hey David,In the 3.08 readme it says that all the charts previously done for LWAMI are not validate any more and that you will update them somewhere in the future, are you still planning on doing so?

Opening torpedo tube for all sub models and these sub are wholeheartedly requested:
Type 212A AIP German submarine Lada class AIP Russian submarine(Kilo extension) Astute nuclear British sub  Woooohooo additional sub models for DW If it is not too much how about additional navy like Spore(some stealth FF pls), Indonesia, Philipine, Sweden, Italian, Eqypt, Vietnam, Brazil, etc Though i realise that adding the AIP subs would be tricky since they have extremly low noise level at low speeds then once the battery is on they become like the rest of the diesel subs. with linear increment noise level simulating the use of AIP is......tricky at best....perhaps impossible.... and additional platforms for the current additional countries....... I'm only asking......no need to be compelled when modder doesn't feel to....... |
Great news David! Thanks for keeping DW alive and well! It's exciting to think of combining SCXIIc w/Lwami in DW. Can't wait to experience it!

This is good news.
I have stepped away from DW of late mainly due to family and work. I will still contribute models but not so many. I have a stock of 3d models that need mapping painting and converting. The stuff I really hate doing. AS things get back together I'll let more stuff out. |
Is this the rebirth of the X series? DWX begins here? I certainly hope so, I miss stalking Alfas and other Cold War boats. :D
Great news LW     |
LW/Ami's gone far enough that I don't miss the "X series" anymore.

awesome!:rotfl:
greatest new in this year! when will it be released? Cheers! |
OOOoooo!!! *Rubs hands together*
I still find myself wanting more SCX-type sweetness in DW. This may just encourage me to dabble in making custom missions again. |
This is the kind of news that I've been waiting for since this game was released. Thank you so much!

This is great news, I eagerly await the new models.
