I haven't checked the release notes yet, but I've my fingers crossed that maybe they fixed the "no bloom sunsets on SH4" thing.

I have an ATI X1900 Crossfire with an ATI X1900XTX, linked together with the dreaded dongle - which caused interference on my old CRT monitor so I switched to a nice 1600 Dell LCD screen.

I currently run SH4 in crossfire, with 14x Antialias, 4X Anisotropic filtering, V sync, higest quality mip map, and all features turned on the game (except damage model graphics - causes flicker) at 1600x1200 res...

It is sweet...

But I can only get this setup to work with ATI Catalyst 7.1. When I tried later versions the Antialiasing with crossfire didn't work. It was fine when using a single card, but not when using two.

So I'm staying with 7.1, just one of those quirky driver things I guess..

Holy crap. I didn't know AA went that high. I've never seen an option higher than 6x.

IIRC if you enable the "temporal AA" thing it doubles the AA value, therefore 4x becomes 8x and 6 becomes 12x, but I still dont know how to get 14x lol. Could you enlighten us on this.

I don't know... isn't it called super-sampling or something...

I can only select up to 6x or maybe 8x when using 1 card, I think the two cards take different samples and composite them together in the higher modes - I read up on it when I was looking at which cards to buy 18 months ago.

but as ever, there is some new AA technique out now isn't there? CAA or something it's called, can't remember. I tried temporal but I prefered the normal method..

Anyway, I don't know how it works, I just press the buttons...

overdrive is working ....havn't had a go with sh4 yet for bloom but overdrive is running i'm running 2x atix1950's in crossfire on an asus p5wdh deluxe

7.5 holds NO JOY for me...

Single x1900xtx on A8N32-SLI Deluxe w/ WinXP and Catalyst 7.5
Card does not switch to 3d clocks for SHIV.:cry:
Bloom does not seem to be enabled.:cry:
Still can force 3d clock speeds with ATITool...

ATI Tray Tools rocks.

I was skeptical about dumping my pretty and flashy CCC. But I found the ability to set up individual profiles for each game to be much more reliable with the ATT, as well as the overclocking tools.

I doubt I'll be going back to the CCC.

Lets get some progress reports here. I avoided the last update (7.4) as I had heard some people were having some issues.

Now I hear 7.5 is already out... Ill wait till I hear some positive things.

BTW overdrive does not work in 7.3 either.

so far it looks good ..no bloom bummer........all options are open aa w/temporal =24 af with hg =32 ran 3d mark 06 last night and this morning ...w/stock clocks it had an avarage 4-6 point gain over the 7.4 runs...ok by me ..and overdrive is working ..no more flicker when you try to run overdrive :|\\

X14 AA is certainly only available for CrossFire user, i guess.


The bloom of the sun is still not fixed ? ---> :damn: Grrrr... When they will do it ?


I have 7.3 and 3d clock works with SH4 ( with overdrive and Ati Tray Tool), really don't understand why some have problem with this :hmm:


Still waiting good news about this 7.5 for using it.
