Quick question on GWX Targeting

I've been playing GWX 1.03 for a few weeks now - BTW thanks again to everyone who put this great supermod together. When targeting a ship (merchant or warship), does it matter where the torpedo hits, i.e. can you target and hit an ammo magazine, engine room, etc? I've looked through the posts, and am confused as to whether GWX uses a total number of "hit points" or if location matters. Thanks.

Definitely. A few days ago I got a tanker to explode.

That was off of a 'whoa, there's a /tanker/ in that fog' moment, too, with a stern tube and a completely untargeted shot--just added ten degrees and hoped for the best. >.>

To target a different area, you need to unlock (L-key, or press the Lock-button again) first, then aim for the new spot, open tube, and fire.

Welcome aboard!
The most reliable place to hit and get a one shot sinking is aiming at the forwardmost mast. Most ships hit here will sink from between 10-45 minutes
