So I just had my first awesome GWX Moment.
Thought I would share it with everyone, but this may not be new to Veteran Kaluens.
I was stalking a convoy in the AM sectors near scapa slow when I suddenly got a strange sound contact to starboard...well went into external view (I dont use this view to cheat but I was very curious) and low and behold, it was a friendly VIIC submarine no more then 100 meters away from me at periscope depth. Its too bad the AI subs dont do anything but draw fire but it was very awesome. Just would like to personally thanks the GWX team for their work. Done a better job then Ubisoft did thats for sure. |
Strange. I thought stock GWX only had surfaced AI uboats :hmm:
|
How cool would that of been if it had suddenly fired torpedoes
|
Sergbuto's AI uboats DO fire torpedoes. Although they're invisible :smug:
|
100 meters????
Lucky for you it was a friendly!:ping: |
I remember my first encounter with submerged AI sub. It was multiplayer game with the beta testers & some of the dev team. I shot two torps to it, U-571 (yuk!) style. ;)
Would find you a screenshot I posted to one of the GWX mp threads, but I'mmm too laazzzyyyy. :rotfl: |

I was surprized when it was at periscope depth too because well I read the AI on how Subs cant submerge.
|
No they cant submerge from surfaced
There are a few scripted at PD but IIRC they are having trouble moving Will be fixed for 1.04 though |
;) yeah i saw a couple allied subs sailing with two convoy's the other nite, they sure are the ugliest subs ive ever seen (dunno why i bought SH4 anyway?)funny thing was one was on the surface ,the other at periscope depth

Could be very interesting have a moving u-boat at periscope depth, in the convoy wolfpack battles the surfaced boats are sitting ducks :dead:
