some more noob questions
 
when does norway become an enemy,

when can you transfer to the west coast of france

how can you change the amount of days you spend in port

when does america become an enemy

can you take your uboat into the areas on the map that done have a grid reference?

when do cruise liners/batttleships/cruisers/carriers appear?

i am trying out the sh3 world at the moment whilst i learn how to play the game

can the gwx be installed over that?

Yes you need a patched 1.4 version of SH3 to play GWX.

You need SH3Cmd for that. If you use this program you can adjust the settings of your career and the days you spend in port

They're scripted in Task Forces and Convoys. You can also find the in some posrts like Scapa Flow
