A couple of years ago I bought a replica Rolex watch complete with box and owner's certificate (on the street in the Philippines) and gave it to my wife. About $250 bucks...a nice enough watch...heavy, solid...runs well....

I thought...or at least assumed... then and ever since she knew it was only a replica....I figured giving it on April 1st had been clue enough....not considering that she ought to have known I would never spend such an outrageous amount for any watch...heck I don't even wear one myself ...mainly 'cause I couldn't care less what time it is.

Well cut to the chase...she took it to a Rolex dealer last week (thank goodness in a city 150 miles from here.) where they examined it then told her it was worth $25,000 American bucks. Further more, they offered to buy the damned thing and cut her a check then and there. :shifty: :nope: :shifty: ...no...I'm still convinced it IS only a replica.
