SH 4 v1.2 confused about radar
 

:D Hi
I've been good sinking jap ships :D, so I was able to buy upgrades, among them SD and SJ radar; now I'm a little bit confused about how to use and read them:
1. the available commands show two screens: A-Scope and PPI; the first one is a vision on the plan of my position (center) and what the radar has found , is it correct?
2. I do not understand the PPI vision: what does it show?
3. Are the two radar (air and land) always running in surface or I am supposed to activate either of them selectivily and how; I can only see one command (go to radar) and then string of icons: go to ppi, go to a-scope, on/off, continous sweep, one sweep, no mention to SD and SJ.
Please do not blame my poor knowledge :lol:
