100 Terabyte 3.5-inch Digital Data Storage Disks
I think I need this for my TV storage system. 500 GB only holds about 350 commercial free programs. WIth this, I'd be set for a lifetime practically!

Sounds great.
Digital Right Management -- now referred to as "Digital Consumer Choice" because DRM has gotten too much bad press, much like Palladium and NGSCB -- will interfere with the drive. Same thing as Blu-Ray, which is the only reason I haven't bought one. I've moved to NAS boxes on gigabit. |
When I first read this topic's title, I though somebody had crammed 100 Terabytes of stuff into one of these:

100tb onto a floppy?? its hard enough getting a 100kb midi file off them without corruption.

That's really really cool! I'll also bet most of us are saying, "No one will ever need 100TB of storage space!", just like IBM said 30 years ago about 5MB worth of storage space. In the not too distant future, everyone will be using a hard drive with 100 Petabytes worth of storage space and people will be laughing at 100TB.
