"Ship Spotted" announcements under water?
On my way out from Kiel through the tunnel, I don't want to be bothered with those "Ship Spotted" announcements that disable the time compression back to 1:1 each and every time. I thought that diving to 10 meters will save me from these announcements. 1. Periscopes are down! 2. There is no one at the sonar station, so I shouldn’t be getting the "Sound contact" announcements as well Well, it doesn’t announce anymore, but the game still can "see" there ships :hmm: (they keep popping on the map) and keep disable the time compressions for each and every damn ship on that tunnel. Did anyone note this already? Is there a solution? TIA, |
What you are seeing are the map updates (reports from other vessels, aircraft etc.)
Disable it on your 'options' if they bug you that much :arrgh!: |
I did the same thing without any troubles - I took the sonar operator off-duty to eliminate the sonar contact warnings.
My bridge crew kept spotting ships but it was less of a hassle than the sonar operator so I did not submerge. |

I don’t think that the reports come from other vessels of aircrafts. Why I don't think so? - Because if I'll dive to 11-12 meters deep, the ships will no longer be spotted. Hmmm… (Then why don’t you dive to that depth?) :|\\ Well, the tunnel is quite shallow, and I brushed to the ground once of twice before Temujin |
Update can still be from other ships as when you dive deep enough, you can't receive radio messages.

Put your sonarman into the restroom. problem solved.
