3 posts down  basically just create a folder to install it to that is NOT called Ubisoft... callit Newbiesoft or "Ubisoft2" or "Vanilla" and then install the game to that folder. |
Rename your SilentHunterIII folder in the Ubisoft one - say GWX SHIII
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII ---> C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\GWX SHIII Put your DVD back in Install Repair A fresh SilentHunterIII folder |
hmm that sounds like an interesting way to do it also... the way i did it there were two distinct versions of the game in totally seperated folders.

Well, I tried installing Sh III twice to tweak and compare but I did encounter some trouble....
I have installed the GWX SH III into the following folder: D:\Sh III. Whenever I run the Dvd it detects the prior install and says it will modify the excisting install, but this is not what I want.... Anyway to circumvent this? Thanks ReM |
Install SH3 once and patch to v1.4. Then simply copy and paste the whole SH3 folder structure. Done. You now have two distinct copies of SH3. Easy.
