Was there any sign of survivors ?
I run two saved games: one allowing me to run rampant in heat of things, and another as a real-time campaign - no time compression. The drawback of real-time is that life takes one away from minding the boat. Then accidents happen.
"Mission ended. Career abandoned. Not enough crew to manage boat." Paraphrased, I'm sure, but that's the gist. Eleven sailors, one watchman, and one wounded officer are all that were fished out of the drink ( just out of Kiel Canal, going out on patrol ). Clever how SH3Commander allowed me a surrender option. But what in blue blazes happened ??!! :damn: Many talented, generous programmers, and German rocket scientists have donated their resources to making this sim an incredible adventure for me. Could you blokes know of a file that I could examine to determine what effect took place to end the career ? A log that might be generated after every run that could give an idea of whether it was enemy action, collision, or mine that took out the boat ? This failure of being explicit about termination is a shortcoming to this software, but maybe the program itself logs the event. Maybe. You Answer People are out there :know: , I can hear you on sonar... Reverie |
Sounds like you hit a mine. They can ruine your day very quickly.
It's a good idea to look at the maps of each harbor and see where the mine fiels and nets are located. The map can be found in the navagation screen at the top left of the screen. |
