When you are doing a career how do you stop and come back to it?..Is there a way to turn on the searchlight on the subs??.....:)

You mean stop as in save the game? Hit ESC while on patrol and select the Save option in the menu. Type in a name for the save file and click Save. Next time you start the game, select Load Game in the main menu and click on the appropriate file name in the list.

There are no searchlights on the subs in SH4. :)
