Neutral Convoy Report

I've received a report that gave me the posiion of a "neutral convoy" in GWX 1.03.

Is it really neutral or should I try to intercept it? This is the first time I've encountered a report like his.

TIA

The type and nationality of convoys are determined by that of the leading ship. probably it's neutral that's why you get this report. If you intercept it you will find non-neutral ships as well.

Good Luck

Try to intercept the convoy, you can find some allied ships in the convoy..:yep:

Thanks for the replies, That's something I didn't know.

One addittional point....if the icon is a circle with a tail instead of a square then the lead vessel is a sub

The lead ship is usually the middle ship in the front row of the convoy.

When in nav map and receiving a notification of a convoy, you see an icon in the shape of a square with a tail running outwards from the centre point of the square signifying the approx direction of travel.
When that square is actually a circle, that means that the lead vessel of the convoy is actually a sub.

Thanks jimbuna,
I was thinking you were joking in first post.
I am really wondering how many convoys have had submarine for lead vessel during WW2?
Since I have noticed circle convoy mark in SH3, this also questiones realism of the SH3+GWX in this respect.
Bye

This icon appears not only when a Sub is escorting a convoy but when a wolfpack is reporting a convoy.;)

I think it's safe to say, if it was not done in real life then the GWX devs would not have put it in.

Some convoys had submarines as part of their escorts :yep: The Germans actually used subs as escorts to blockade runners in the early years of the war....the thinking being that if the blockade runner was intercepted then the interceptor would be an easy target for the sub
