Commanding a surface ship

Anyone ever created a mod which lets you command a surface vessel? I for one would love to cause havoc amongst the convoys in a nice Cruiser! If anyones ever read 'The Iron Pirate' by Douglas Reeman, you'll know what I mean!! :)

I once saw a mod which let you control the bismarck. However that was in an early development stage, where you stood on the conning tower of a u boat with the bismarck skin around you.

But it worked somehow. There were pics of the bismarck tearing a task force apart.

You can do a search for the thread but I believe the link to the download is dead :arrgh!:

If anyone knows how to code it, I'd be more than happy to build any assets that are required. Wouldnt take too much work to create a Bridge, Wardroom, Internal gunnery, aft DC location etc.

Want this BAD! :)

The first thing that comes to mind is Destroyer Command. It was circa SH2 and was pretty fun.

Destroyer Command at Amazon.com

You may have seen this, not your typical sub, not meant for realism, more for fun:yep:
