im about to sink a hospital ship.

is it allowed to sink one or does döniz kills me when i sink one ???

GoldenRivet 05-13-07 07:21 PM

sure you can sink it

but it will take away VAST amounts of renown... so much so that you will likely go to negative numbers or start over at zero.

besides... that hospital ship is probably packed with German or Italian POWs

Kaleu. Jochen Mohr 05-13-07 07:22 PM

so that mean no right.....

me: alright boys back on course and leave the ship alone
crew: (on a disapointed tone) jawol her kaleun

GoldenRivet 05-13-07 07:28 PM

from the GWX manual

"Hospital ships in GWX have illumination and fly the flag of the international committee of the red cross, a neutral 'country'. Although technically they are naval auxiliaries. PLAYERS WILL INCUR AN ENORMOUS PENALTY IN RENWON FOR SINKING A HOSPITAL SHIP..."

also in real life hospital ships - especially when bearing the red cross - were considered untouchable.

in GWX you can sink them as easily as anything else, but almost all of your renown goes away.

i wouldnt touch it with a ten foot pole

hmm, you could use the hospital ship as cover...just tag along in its wake and sink anything unarmed you happen to come across, If it starts shooting at you, well, just hide you teeny tiny uboat behind the big ol' hospital ship, they wouldn't dare shoot at it, and if they do they're the bad guys...:arrgh!:

This would probably be considered entirely unethical but it sure is creative

I think I'm actually gonna try this next time I see a hospital ship, just to see how the AI handles it....

:-j:lurk:

the AI blasts it to hell just to destroy you
