It's finally over...
...BdU Reports that U-99 was lost with all hands during her 19th patrol some time around 07 February 1943 to unknown circumstances. Last known position was grid CF31. Her highly successful and highly decorated crew will be missed, may they rest peacefully in the silence of the deep amongst so many of their comrades.

man... it kind of puts it in perspective to post it that way... imagine all of the crew lists of all the U-boats they lost. that would be one LONG crew list.

The ones left alive at the end can be thankful that they survived. So many didn't make it.:-?
