Bragging rights.

I am now the proud father of a university graduate with a bachelors in biology. Now to some people this might be no big deal but for us it is because she is the first from both sides of the family to accomplish this.
She graduated last Saturday from the University of Findlay, Ohio.
This Sunday she reports to Cape Cod to Department of the Interior, Fish and Wildlife to be an assistant teamleader to work on some island off the coast. It's a temporary position but it puts her foot in the door and it will be good resume food and will also help in getting her school of choice for her masters.:know:
Yep, I'm mighty proud.

CONGRATS!!! You have every right to BRAG. This ole blue collar worker who drilled offshore , roughnecked in oilfields and helped build the Alaska pipeline had tears in my eyes when my son graduated with his degree. It made all the work worth while to know my boy will have a better life.

The downside is he's not my little fun loveing little boy any more but, a serious young man takeing on the world and doesn't have much time for me anymore. Well thats life. :damn: :)

I envy people such experiences - no family on my side.

Congrats!

Good luck with the post-grad work too. It's kind of needed if she wants to really do something in the field of biology. My sister has a bachelors degree, and she decided to get a teaching bachelors so she could teach it.
